What is the qualitative method?

The qualitative method is applied to the study of history, relationships, representations, beliefs, perceptions and opinions, product of the interpretations humans make regarding how they live, build their instruments and himself, feel and think. This is the body of knowledge that make up the different designs and research strategies that produce data or information from textual, visual or narrative nature, which are discussed in turn, with no mathematical means. The fundamental difference between the two methods (quantitative and qualitative) is that quantitative studies the association or relationship between quantified and qualitative variables makes structural and situational contexts.
